Movie Premiere/30th Birthday Party

PFP has been cultivating folk arts and social change since 1987. This Birthday Party is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of local communities and cultural traditions that matter. And it is a chance to support and advance PFP's work in this area.

To celebrate our 30th Birthday, the Folklore Project will be hosting a premiere of our latest documentary entitled "We Need Peace: Stories of Liberian Women and Their Songs." This movie speaks to the power of traditional songs to make meaningful connections between and among people and to re-build communities, as well as to address injustice and inspire action for social change.

Join us for dinner and a movie on October 15, 2017 at 4 PM at International House (3701 Chestnut St in West Philadelphia). We welcome you all to celebrate with us and to help launch PFP into our next 30 years.
